The twenty object models in this directory were created in 1988-1990
using the SDRC Ideas solid modeler. Over the years, they have been
redesigned a few times, most recently with the IRIT solid modeler
developed by Gerson Elber (available
here).
Each object is described in four files:
name.irt, the IRIT description of the object, including a
directive to save the object in a polyhedral approximation.
name.poly, a polygonal description of the object in Flynn's
.poly format.
name.wrl, a VRML version of the polygonal approximation
to the object.
name.neutral, a (readable) description of the surfaces comprising
the model.
name.igs, an IGES 3.0 description of the object.
If you want to retrieve all of the model data at once, go to the bottom of this
page and get `the whole enchilada.'
